Our name is derived from the traditional dessert of coconut and honey and Jalao Restaurant is proud to present a wide array of Dominican cuisine.

A sampling of our appetizers includes Dominican classics such as mini Mofongos, Picadera, and Yaniqueques (also known as Dominican johnnycakes). Also featured is the unforgettably crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside fried pork belly called Chicharron.

The main dish menu includes traditional staples like La Bandera Dominicana translated to mean The Dominican Flag. This national dish includes rice, beans, and meat seasoned to delicious perfection. Also featured are other Dominican staples like a fried fish served with tostones called Pecao Frito. Come be enchanted by Jalao’s lively atmosphere to experience the full array of our deliciously authentic cuisine.

Dessert options you don’t want to miss include tres leches and flan. Of course, the experience wouldn’t be right without the restaurant’s namesake, Jalao. The dessert is served warm with a scoop of Dominican rum ice cream.

Get adventurous and visit for breakfast to try an array of traditional morning foods such as Los Tres Golpes. This typical Dominican breakfast contains mangú (mashed plantains), fried cheese, salami, and eggs.
